FCA Northeast Lacrosse Program Announces Fall 2016 Girls Tryouts

Rochester, NY – August 23, 2016 – The Fellowship of Christian Athletes announces the upcoming Northeast FCA Girls Lacrosse tryouts on September 11, 2016, for the 2021 and 2022 girls teams. Tryouts will be located at 1344 Martin Road, Rush, NY 14543. All 2023’s are welcome to tryout for the 2022 Team.

Regional Community and Camps Coordinator Solomon Bliss is excited about the growth of the girls’ program. “Our girls’ coaches are encouraged to see the interest level in girls lacrosse in our area continue to grow. It is encouraging to see these girls continue to develop not just as players, but as young women, as our coaches mentor these girls and genuinely care about them as individuals,” Bliss said.

The coaching staff includes Head Coach Larry DiGiovanni (Hobart College, All-American, Denison University Assistant Coach, Pittsford Youth Boys and Girls Lacrosse Coach); Paula Mitchell (Rutgers University Assistant Coach, Head Coach, Upper St. Clair, Storm Youth), Cassley Jackowski (Roberts Wesleyan College Rookie of the Year, FCA Women’s National Lacrosse Team, Under Armour Upstate NY All Star), and Taviot Jackowski (NEAC All Conference Women’s Lacrosse, SUNY Chancellors Scholar Athlete).

“Anytime you put Jesus Christ at the center — of anything, opportunities will ‘take off’. The world is thirsty for opportunities that FCA represents… when made available, people will ultimately gravitate towards it…”Larry DiGiovanni

An even larger turnout than at the Spring 2016 tryouts is expected as word of FCA’s unique program continues to spread.    “Anytime you put Jesus Christ at the center — of anything,  opportunities will ‘take off’.  The world is thirsty for opportunities that FCA represents… when made available, people will ultimately gravitate towards it,” DiGiovanni said.
